I belong in the 100 dollar or more category.

I do, too. I spent over $100 on my last "free to play" game, and I expect that I'll do the same with Battlefield Heroes.

I don't care about the look, just the efficincy of my solders.

These things in "free to play" games are useful, but are most of the time giving an unfair advantage to anyone willing to pay, obviously the developers of ANY game wouldn't care less if people where paying, but i hate it when i am maybe the same level as some one, and maybe more skilled, and yet they beat me cause they spent $20 on armor that is impenetrable.

I am willing to pay for upgrades, but it depends what I get for the money. I would pay to level faster and some cosmetic upgrades if they improve my game experience.

i might spend maybe 30$max on customizing how my charcter looks.

I fit under the 'no money' category because first of all, I believe EA said that this is a FREE online game. If you were required/wanted to pay for the game or features of it, then things would be sort of ironic.

Make a connection with what I am about to say. People say America is a free country. Funny thing is, there are laws...lol. Same with games, you can play for free, for a price...see what I mean?

I would pay, to specialize the hero out of the normal.

The exchange rate and so on makes it way to expensive for me so will probably spend nothing. But if the game is good enough who knows

You don't get extra power if you spend money on it, You can buy new clothes and stuff. Not some new better weapon.

I did some calculations on how much money DICE would get from all of us who voted on the poll, and the result is quite surprising.

Out of the 2758 voters 931 people will pay for items. If all of those people buy items of the value they voted on, it will result in $25 200.00 dollars. That is just of 931 people(!) and 2758 people if you include all who voted, which is more accurate.

On the last interview with Ben Cousins he said they estimate that 90 % of the users won't buy any items. In this poll 66 % didn't want to buy anything which means we are above what they estimated. Though, I believe in the real game (with "all" users) the percentage will be closer to what DICE predicted.

DICE sure will get a load of money out of this game, even though it is free. Micro transactions + Advertisement = $$$$. Although it might not be as much as they would have gotten with a priced game, or maybe it will?

Well the thing is once u buy a normal battlefield u pay 1 time.
This game will exist for a couple while and their comes money in from the same person every month.

If they want. Also every new month a new add for them is more $$$ then if they release a game like bf2142.

Cause people who play this game for free see a guy with a cool coat or something.
And decide to just spend 5$ or something for one time.

i will not spend money, and like he said in an intervieuw you can buy items but nothing that influences the balance, and i dont give a shit how my char looks like, but if i find something realy cool for a ltl money i might just buy it ( cuz 1 euro = $1,50 min )

I spend maybe 10 Dollar! I think thi is a good game but only 10-20 Dollar1 time...not all time in month like WOW!

even if my parents let me pay i wouldnt spend 1 øre (norwegian coin. less than a dime.) its not worth it.

I'm suprised that more people are willing to spend $100 than those who are willing to spend $50

I am willing to spend €100 (around $125) or more if there are nice items to buy. But I guess the items aren't such good at the start so I won't be buying anything yet.

Some of the micro-transactions can purchase things that are unavailble through the valor point system though.

I'd like a beer hat, some boxers with maple leaves on 'em, scruffy after-party beard, hangover red-eye. That is all.

Depends on what there is to buy... I might get a few odds and ends for my character. Mostly if it will allow my sniper to blend in with the surroundings. Those cigars looked cool too.
